Debbie is an active member of Central Congregational United Church of Christ and former moderator. Her background makes her an ideal fit for overseeing all the exciting opportunities that lie ahead for the Transforming Churches, Transforming Lives Campaign and the conference.

1redsquare  A New TAP Class to Begin in the Metro Atlanta Area

Have you thought about participating in TAP (Theology Among the People),
but
were not sure what is required and how it works? 

An overview and orientation to TAP will be held

Thursday, September 16th from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Victory UCC in Stone Mountain
(1170 North Hairston Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30083). 

We will discuss this lay theological education program, a mission of the Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ, that is designed to help participants discover their own theologies and develop ministerial skills within the context of a supportive, intentional community of fellow learners.

You are encouraged to attend this informative meeting.  The next TAP session, An Introduction to the History and Polity of the UCC, will begin September 30. Classes will be held at Victory Church from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. for eight consecutive Thursdays.  Participants from all of our UCC churches are welcome!

Twelve people from throughout the Southeast Conference are preparing for a TAP/GTE cultural immersion experience in Washington, D.C. from October 10th - 16th. They will engage in contextual biblical study, theological reflection, and social engagement in the heart of the American empire. Please pray with and for them.
