The Rev. Laura Arnold, Associate Conference Minister and pastor of Decorah Congregational UCC in Decorah, IA, on the death of her maternal grandmother, D. Joan Price, age 83, of Peoria, IL. Her grandmother passed away on Wednesday, February 13, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Laura officiated at the funeral. The family asks that memorials be made to the Congregational United Church of Christ in Decorah, or the Alzheimer's Association.
The Rev. Larry Calbert, Minister of Rush Memorial Congregational United Church of Christ, Atlanta, on the death of his father, Robert W. Calbert Sr., age 87, of Louisville, KY. Robert died on February 5, and is survived by his wife, Frances. He was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church in Louisville, where he served as a deacon for fifty years. He was a World War II veteran and honorably served as a ship’s cook from 1943 to 1945. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to the American Cancer Society.
The Rev. David Templeton of Savannah, for healing as he battles neurological spine problems. David is a hospice chaplainand holds membership at Circular Congregational Church in Charleston, SC.
