Stewardship
For many years, stewardship was the word synonymous with money. Every year, ministers and lay leaders would rally the congregations for the financial dollars needed to maintain the church budget. But we have learned over the years that stewardship is about so much more than this narrow understanding. Stewardship is about care and concern for the environment; it is about giving of our time and treasures; it is about gratitude and generosity.
Stewardship 101, Part One:
Action Steps to a Successful Fall Season

What does Stewardship look like at your church?
Is it a vibrant ministry? …a year-round effort? …a key part of your faith journeys?
OR perhaps it is a Fall tradition? …something we don’t talk about? ... a necessary evil?
Do you know where to begin? Do you know where you want to go? What will you do this year? And next year? Why does it matter?
Here’s what you will take home from your 24 hours in Chattanooga:
• A plan for YOUR church
• Specific Actions for THIS Fall 2008!
• Tools to organize and replicate the process
• Resources to share with your congregation
• Mentors to accompany you on the journey
• And the possibility of a changed life….
